Please click, download, print, fill out,  and sign the applicable form you need from above and bring it and your DD214 to the Post when applying in person either during our scheduled General Meetings (see one of our Post officers) or during our Bar operation hours when our Bar staff can receive your application to forward to our Executive Board/E-Board.

Online AL Post 416 Membership Applications &/or Membership Renewals can also be started through the following Legion.org links with an e-mail address and payment card information (credit or debit card) plus a digital PDF or JPG copy of one’s DD214 (in case the Post Adjutant or the AL Department of California may ask for such via e-mail as part of the vetting process) to expedite online applications & renewals:

1) Join As A New Member or Transfer One’s Existing American Legion Post Membership to AL Post 416 of Encinitas –  The American Legion’s national membership database will cross-reference your given e-mail address with their records to see if an individual is either a Brand New Applicant, or if one just needs to Transfer an Existing AL Post Membership In Good Standing from another AL Post into AL Post 416 of Encinitas.

If you are a Brand New Applicant to the American Legion, please kindly make sure to select American Legion Post 416 of Encinitas, California aka the San Dieguito Post as the Post you are joining as you go through the “Tell Us About Yourself” and “Membership Details” steps online.

*If ever MyLegion.org does not offer the option of selecting any physical post and instead defaults to assigning you to the Virtual Post 1000, please kindly save your newly assigned Membership ID Number so this can be used in the Member Data Form for Transfer so one can be transferred from Virtual Post 1000 into a specific Post, such as AL Post 416 of Encinitas, California.

Please kindly note: If an existing American Legion member from elsewhere has not been current with membership dues owed to their current Post, or may be facing disciplinary action from their existing Post, etc., these may delay one’s formally accepted transfer into the membership rolls of American Legion Post 416 of Encinitas, California.

2) Renew Existing AL Post 416 of Encinitas Membership – please have your Member ID number found on your physical membership card or your existing Legion.org account ready to expedite your renewal online.
